Green tip:  Don’t put plastic bags in with your curbside recycling. If your collector has taken them, it’s a mistake. Plastic bags clog up the sorting equipment and keep your recyclables from going to the correct market. Of the labor spent processing recyclables, 25 to 30 percent is spent pulling plastic bags out of the sorting euipment.
